A question about vicodin addiction?

Question: A question about vicodin addiction?

I took 3- 4 Vicodin a day for approximately 6 weeks. This was for multiple tooth infections, and ultimately extractions. They started at 7.5mg does and, after the extractions, the does was upped to 10mg. I was worried about stopping, for fear of withdrawal. I haven't had any for over 24 hours now, and I don't feel any kind of withdrawal. I am taking Ibuprofen for the lingering pain and feeling fine. Is it safe to say that I did not become addicted? I was really concerned about this, even though I was taking it for legitimate reasons.

You are fine. Nothing to worry about at all. I was addicted to vicodin for years, withdrawal starts within 12 hours.

Typically, withdrawal symptoms start within 24 hours, and you would absolutely know if you were having them. It feels like a severe flu. I think you're just fine. You didn't really take all that much for that long.

If you were even close to addiction right now you would be wanting some.
