My sister's husband is trying to kick for the third time his addiction to Oxycontin and the one thing stopping him right now is his fear of with drawls. He says it's worse than child birth ha ha, when's the last time he gave birth? There is supposed to be a way to detox rapidly and, although it's expensive, it supposedly works. First, has anyone tried it, and second, what kinds of things can you do at home that help you with the symptoms of with drawl to make them either shorter or not so harsh?

Im thinking about doing it, im almost 15 which is the age reccomended on the box, i know its not long term, its kinda just a crash course thing, im planning on signing up for a gym during school holidays. Has Anyone Ever Participated in What Is Called: "Rapid Detox" ?
I have read many articles regarding information about Opioid Rapid Detoxification where a patient who is seemingly, hopelessly addicted to opiates, including methadone and heroin, can be detoxed in a matter of hours under general anesthesia. I've also " heard" that it is an easier, softer way to detox for long time drug abusers who have used many other detoxification methods to no avail and always returned to drugs due to the detox process being so unpleasant. I'm not quite sure how the process works but am interested in finding out more about this treatment. I volunteer for a medical facility that helps addicts and have been asked about this many times. Any information would be appreciated.
