Question: How to get over opiate addiction, im already taking the thomas' recipe?

I was in an accident about 7 years ago leaving me with ongoing pain and now that ive been taking the meds (oxy contin) for so long via injection and in the area between 600- 1000 mgs a day. now it is just withdrawing that i worry about because i am used to the pain i suppose but just need some help quitting all together. ive quit for 30 days straight due to jail and was still in the WD's when i got out.... what in the world do i do, if you can help please do.... i know meetings and the 12steps cause ive been to treatment 5- 6 times but just cant seem to kick it... please help if there is any for me.... thanks a million!!!

I went to school with a woman who had been addicted to herion for years. they put her on some other medication to block the receptors to the brain that craved it. ask your doctor. you have to deal with the withdrawl, maybe you could try some anti nausea remidies.. ginger tea works. take it easy and try to stay calm while getting over your addiction. and great job for making an effort to stop!
