How long does it take to feel withdraw symptoms from methadone?

Question: How long does it take to feel withdraw symptoms from methadone?

I have been taking anywhere fro 60mgs to 80mgs of methadone a day for 14 months now. After talking with people I started to worry I may be addicted. I haven't taken any for 20 days now. I feel pretty good, other than a little sore sometimes. I want to know how long till I can expect the withdraw pain to kick in. Or is it over exaggerated for methadone, and the withdraw is really nothing to serious. Thanks

I don't believe you. 60 to 80mg of methadone is a high dose and after doing that much for over a year you would have gone through extreme withdrawals in a matter of hours. You not only become addicted to opiates like methadone but your body becomes dependent on those opiates. Take the opiates away then you withdrawal. Period. As a former addict myself I have seen dozens of people stop using opiates in one form or another including methadone and every single one went through withdrawals. Nice try but maybe you should post your question in the fiction area... ..
