I live in the uk and im taking 45ml methadone daily, and on daily pick up from the chemist. i am planning to go to france this year and wanted to know if i'll be allowed to take it into the country and if i need to get permission from anyone. i'll be going for no longer then a week. and should be going by ferry or channel tunnel. what authorities do i need to inform, and do i need to let the ferry/ channel train staff know. and do i need a note from drug clinic or doctor? any help would be much appreciated.

In theory you can travel to France with methadone and the link suggested above will help you. The problem you may well have is actually getting a weeks supply of methadone as you are on daily dispensing. No doctor may feel able to give you a weeks supply.
