Question: Prescription methadone?

Would a doctor prescribe methadone for a patient with Lupis? And if so, why would the patient need to visit different methadone clinics around the state to recieve the prescription?

Don't know about lupis. But I do know that they are trying to get multiple prescriptions. Methadone will get you high.

It is usually for opiate dependency maintenance programs (eg. heroin addiction). The person who said it will get you high is right- it will but only for like 2 days, after that you will just have an opiate tolerance and methadone is harder to get off than heroin. Plus it rots your teeth! And for people without an already existing opiate tolerance, it can kill you. I would go for other painkillers! Re: Your 2nd question- depends where you are, I am only familiar with Australian regulation etc.

A doctor might if the person was in pain. Also if the person was going to different Methadone they are doctor shopping to get enough of the drug to get high
