Question: I am 10 days into methadone treatment and today i am seeing double....?

Is this normal to have blurry vision as I am getting used to this stuff??? please help I this normal as I am getting used to this stuff? I have had some blurry vision in the last 10 days but not this bad. PLEASE HELP!

Hi....I was actually abusing Methadone for a long time but I also got the blurry vision because I was so high all the time.But now I am in a 'Suboxone' program,which is for opiate addiction..including heroin.I really don't know for sure if the Methadone would cause blurred vision,but it does make sense that it would.If it is really of a big concern to you,just go to the doctor that gave you the Methadone and ask.Maybe you can also find something here online about the side-effects of Methadone.Does it make you feel 'high'?If so maybe that's why.it did me when I was abusing it...i was taking about 60 Methadone pills a day,they were 10mg each....way tooo much!!! And thaks GOD the 'Suboxone is helping me a great deal......I wish you all the best in your recovery.....

Yes this is completely normal, you are taking METHADONE.

Methadone is a strong drug and it creates side effects. It is meant as a bridge from heroin to health. Put up with all the side effects. You are alive. Your mind will be clearer than it was on heroin. You do not have a $100 + + + a day Jones to chase. You don't have to steal, sell yourself or even worry about the chase. Get your mind well. Allow your body to switch gears from an all-day pursuit of a drug to a decision of what do you want to do with the rest of your life. God bless and keep you but you have to do the hard work yourself while God is out trying to convince the next knucklehead who is dying out there to go into treatment!
