The moods will last as long as he/ she lets them~ And I don't in any way want to seem mean-I am on bupes myself, so I understand the suffering. Something happened to me earlier this summer and I was at a place where I COULDN'T take my bupenorphine for 2 weeks, the first day or two I thought that I would just die, and, when I found out that I didn't, well, life went on, and, after 2 weeks clean, I went back on them. BUT that was me..... What I should say, is that once your friend gets back on track, whether to work, school, or maybe even volunteering somewhere~ this is the real answer. We drug addicts need to feel needed and wanted- and the need to be kept busy is one of the greatest help that I can offer an answer to. So just give your friend all the courage you have, cause he/ she will need it. Good luck with this! |
