Anytime you are not in control of yourself you are weak. People feel sorry for the weak and helpless.

People will just be waking up looking for the next high. When they get high, they just slump over into a corner somewhere and talk stupid until they fall asleep. When they run out of money to buy drugs, they rob people, scam people, prostitute for money. They will repeat the process until they die.

Therapists say it's a disease. There's usually an underlying cause, like depression or something. In rehab they say to think of your addiction like a monkey-it looks awesome and seems like it would be fun to play with, but it will actually rip your fu***** face off. Addiction is Cunning, Baffling, and Powerful.

Bc its poisoning your body. and influences you so you tempted to do selfish things such as robbery and selling drugs to anybody (even kids) its alters ur state of mind so you cant base things on the morals u once had. and depending on the drug its hurting your organs and your brain. for example ecstasy, doesnt actually give you that high feeling it blocks ur receptors so that your high comes from your chemical make up of serotonin, and it all gets collected up in one area of your brian for length of you high and once ur high is gone, all those chemicals die. and ur brain has to strain and try hard to create more. your brain obviously wasnt made to do that, and long lengths of exposure to it can cause permanent brain damage. ive taken lots of drug classes if u want more info message me.

It's important to remember that 'drugs' are not all the same. While the ones used recreationally are often lumped together into one big demon, they are in fact as diverse as Tylenol and Penicillin. The nature of individual users are manifold as well. Thus, there is no answer as to what is wrong with recreational drug addiction in general. That said, there are some common problems associated with addictions in general. With many substances, the longer an individual is addicted, the more of that substance they require to maintain their cravings, causing them to spend an increasing amount of time and money acquiring it. Sometimes, the actual effects ('high') from a substances are such that they prevent the user from being productive; while this may be harmless entertainment with occasional use, addicts may find their lifestyle changed for the worse due to frequent incapacitation. Some substances are associated with long term health problems which are exacerbated by an addict's level of use.

Many cases of drug addiction started from mere curiosity. An error in the use of a prescription drug, for example, could have led to experimentation. In a typical case, the person probably enjoyed the euphoria he experienced when he first took the drug, and this made him use the drug repeatedly. This is the same reason why parents have to be extra careful about the drugs they keep in their medicine chests.
