Is there an easy way to come off methadone?
I have been on methadone for over three years now. When I started taking it no one really explained to me that it would be hard to come off of. I started to detox three milegrams a week. I went from 100 to 40 and then stopped coming down because I was starting to crave drugs again. I haven't went down anymore in over two months now. I want to start again but I've been told that it's going to make me really sick for a long time no matter how slow I go. I really want off this stuff. It cost me $435 a month. Plus I'm tired of needing a chemical just to feel like a normal human being. I can't always come up with the money to dose and on the days I miss I feel pretty crappy. Is there anything out there that can help with the physical withdraws? I don't want to be on methadone for the rest of my life and I know I can't just stop taking it. I don't want to be sick.

If i take a 10mg methadone pill will it show up in a saliva drug test?
im not prescribed methadone but take it occasionally for pain. the max taken is 10mg. I have a drug test in 48 hours and they test the saliva in your mouth. Will the pill show up on my employment screening test?

I am about to quit methadone cold turkey due to personal reasons. I am looking for some insight?

Will i get sickk off methadone?
I just took 2 500mg vicoden last night and I have methadone that I just bought. I was wondering if I will feel the high of methadone and will I still get sick? This will be my second time using and the first time was like 3 months ago . PLEASE NO DON'T DO DRUGS OR DRUGS ARE ADDICTIVE OR GO SMOKE WEED COMMENTS JUST PLX HELP ME ANSWER MY QUESTION And is there a chance I will still get high and not sick since it will be like 24 hrs after my last vicoden use? Anyone have experiences with 5mg 3x a day methadone?
I just started it yesterday,btw i'm not using it for drug withdrawals i'm using it for pain relief i got it from my pain management doctor yesterday,please help i need people telling about there experiences because i've taken 2 so far and so far it don't seem to be working i don't know if it needs to mount up in your system or what to work better so please helpThanks Ok,so should i ask for them to up my dosage? Is my boyfriend addicted to methadone? ?
My boyfriend has been taking predcribe methadone for 2 yrs now. He keeps raising an lowering his dose. He is at a 40 dose right now. He complains when he doesnt get to dose. I think he should b finished by now, but he says it takes a while. Can someone tell me wat they think.

Switching to suboxone from methadone how rough is it?
Just looking for a little quick advice about my switch from Methadone to Suboxone from anyone that has been through the same thing or any experience with it. Have been on methadone for the past year at 30mg then weened down to 5mg and took my last dose last monday. The earliest I could get in to see the suboxone doctor was wednesday, tomorrow. So i had to wait about 8 days. I have been using opanas this week to get by and i got a suboxone saturday to use. I know I have to be in withdrawals at my appointment but i got an Opana 40 this morning and just finished it off. My appt is at 1 45 so that gives me about 18 hours do you think I will be alright and they will go me my Suboxone? Also I have only used Suboxone a handful of times so not too familiar with it's effects over long time usage? I know it helps with the cravings but do you also have the buzz from other pain killers so you have no desire to use whatsoever? I'm 21 year old male and was using oxys for about 2 years anywhere from 80 a couple hundred miligrams a day. Then i got introduced to opanas about a year ago and was doing 1 2 opana 40mg pills a day so on average 60 80mg. This is the same time i started on methadone also so i was doing methadone and opana daily. Switching from using oxys to methadone and opana together has really up my tolerance which im sure is obvious. Just any insightful info about the transition from methadone to suboxone and what to expect would be much appreciated? also what dose do you think i'll be started on? FYI im currently prescribed 40mg of adderall instant release a day for a little more background info.Keep your judgmental comments and any jack advice to yourself about how i'm a junkie or ruining my life with opiates please. They just put my mom on methadone along with her lortabs and I'm just wandering if this is something that's gonna make her seem like she's taking a lot of her medicine or wht.. They said they put her on it to make her pain meds last her longer, Any info you have on this would help...

Help with fathers Methadone Withdrawl...?
My father in law has had a UTI, and has been on methadone for years for his pain. The doctors are slowly reducing his Methadone. He has gone from 50, to 30mg daily this week. He is staying at our house so we can monitor him. When he went to the doctors on Monday his B P was 140 90. Now his blood pressure is 140 100 and 130 99 the last 2 times we checked. He is flushed and getting cold sweats. He is in his 50's. He has been drinking lots of water to help flush out his infection. What can we do to help this process and make him feel better? Thanks
